Hospitality and Catering Enrichment Day
This unique event will give practitioners in Food Technology, Hospitality and Catering the opportunity to listen to Michelin Star award winning chef, Sat Bains talk about his career and passion for food. The day will also present opportunities to network and create links with employers from the sector, go behind the scenes of a multinational hotel chain with department tours and presentations from the Hilton Hotel, collect resources and share best practice to prepare for the launch of the 14-19 Diploma in Hospitality and Catering which launches in Sept 09.

Construction and the Built Environment Enrichment Day
An opportunity for teachers of engineering, design, technology, construction, geography and business studies to spend a day at the site of the M1 widening (J25-28) project. The day will include presentations from MVM who are delivering the contract for the Highways Agency in partnership with Morgan Est, Vinci Construction and Sir Robert McAlpine. Participants will be able to update their knowledge, share best practice and gather resources to help support delivery of the Construction and Built Environment Diploma. SHAPE THE FUTURE WORKFORCE OF MANSFIELD
A briefing event for employers, partner organisations, parents and young people from Mansfield and the surrounding area about the 14-19 Diplomas. Mansfield Creative Careers Industry Challenge
The opportunity for up to 36 young people working in teams of 6 to undertake a series of industry challenges within local business settings.
Types of challenge could include:-
Production of live material e.g. a radio broadcast or providing a solution to a real issue/problem faced by the business e.g. marketing a new product or service.
