I've heard recently of 'mentoring' and 'e-mentoring', what are these? Many young people today need extra support to achieve their full potential. Mentoring is one way business volunteers can make a difference through being a positive role model to help raise aspirations, broaden horizons and prepare young people for the world of work.
E-volve @ NEBA is a programme whereby business volunteers communicate with young people by email to offer support as outlined above.

What is STEMPOINT? Through the STEMPOINT contract NEBA are responsible for providing all schools and colleges in Nottinghamshire with impartial advice and guidance on a wide range of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) activities.

Who can help build links with businesses? NEBA has a team of Business Engagement Advisors who work across Nottinghamshire to create and maintain effective partnerships between all aspects of education and the business world.

How can NEBA support the development of teaching staff? NEBA offers opportunities for teachers and other school staff to work with their local business community to provide a context for professional and curriculum development.
