Employer Involvement & Support

There are numerous ways for employers to get involved in Diplomas.  You could:

  • Offer a work placement to a Diploma student
  • Provide the opportunity for a teacher to shadow you in the workplace for a day
  • Host visits to your organisation or business for a group of Diploma students
  • Act as a business advisor for Diploma students and provide work based projects or challenges
  • Give talks in school on your job role and particular sector to enhance learning

The introduction of 14-19 Diplomas has put a greater emphasis on the relationship between local schools and businesses.  EBF has recruited a number of Local Diploma Champions to:

  • Act as a champion for the 14-19 Diplomas within the business world
  • Seek engagement in Diploma delivery from employers within their sector
  • Represent the interests and concerns of employers regarding the engagement of young learners
