Employer Involvement & Support
There are numerous ways for employers to get involved in Diplomas. You could:
- Offer a work placement to a Diploma student
- Provide the opportunity for a teacher to shadow you in the workplace for a day
- Host visits to your organisation or business for a group of Diploma students
- Act as a business advisor for Diploma students and provide work based projects or challenges
- Give talks in school on your job role and particular sector to enhance learning
The introduction of 14-19 Diplomas has put a greater emphasis on the relationship between local schools and businesses. EBF has recruited a number of Local Diploma Champions to:
- Act as a champion for the 14-19 Diplomas within the business world
- Seek engagement in Diploma delivery from employers within their sector
- Represent the interests and concerns of employers regarding the engagement of young learners
