Business, Enterprise & Employability Skills Day - The Becket School

A day of interactive activities and workshops for learners facilitated by business volunteers, which aim to raise awareness of the employability skills, attitudes and qualities required to succeed in the world of work. Business volunteers support a group of students in a series of challenges aimed to promote enterprise, initiative, communication and team working skills. A lively and action-packed day!

An opportunity for students to practice and develop their interview techniques.  Business volunteers interview students on a 1:1 basis at the school premises for approx. 15-20 minutes and provide constructive feedback on performance.

Futures 2012 - Raising Achievement

To help you get an insight into the latest developments and discover new ideas on how to deliver employability skills and careers and labour market information, Education Business Futures are pleased to invite you to an event that will also help you better support your students' achievement and progression.
 
Who should attend: Careers co-ordinators, work experience/work-related learning co-ordinators, subject teachers with an interest in careers, 6th form staff, SLT with curriculum responsibilities and progress leaders.
 
The programme will include:
 
  • a focus on employability: an interpretation of latest policy developments, including an employer perspective 
  • a choice of 2 good practice workshops
  • lunch and networking
 
Date: Tuesday 28th February 2012.
