100 students from across the East Midlands spent a week at the Boots support office in Nottingham getting inspired about work. 50 were from schools, colleges and universities here in Nottinghamshire.
Boots, the Nottingham-based health and beauty retailer put the students through their paces in an effort to bridge the gap between young people's expectations of work and what business expects from them.

Young people from Mansfield took part in a youth conversation event held recently at the Civic Centre. The event was organised by the Mansfield Learning Partnership (MLP), an initiative involving all Mansfield secondary schools, West Notts College and other partners including Education Business Futures.

Year 7 students at the Becket School took part in a STEM Engineering activity day organised by Education Business Futures.
The aim of the day was to promote STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) with the students undertaking exciting challenges including constructing a tower from marshmallows and spaghetti, designing and building a rocket launcher, a drag race buggy powered by an elastic band and a four metre tall tetrahedron.

Over 200 learners, parents, training providers and employers attended the Young Apprenticeship Graduation event at the Council House in Nottingham on 5th July.
Students who have completed the latest co-hort of Young Apprenticeships (a nationally recognised level 2 qualification) in Motor Vehicle, Health & Social Care, Hairdressing, Construction, Engineering and Sports Management & Leadership were presented with their certificates by the Lord Mayor of Nottingham, Councillor Brian Grocock.
