NEBA is pleased to announce that £120K funding has been secured from emda under their Catapulting Kids Further! initiative. NEBA supported three local businesses: Baggagley and Jenkins Ltd (Mansfield); Clear Blue Gas (Tuxford); and S. Clarke Farms Ltd (Car Colston, Nottingham) in submitting project bids to emda for equipment which will both excite and stimulate learning in the region's priority sectors which include:-
- Construction and the Built Environment
- Food and Drink
- Healthcare and Bioscience
- Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths
- Transport Equipment
The aim of the three business projects is to replicate and stimulate work based practical activities in the classroom allowing young people to experience the skills they will require in the world of work. Utilising the latest high tech, industry standard equipment will provide a real WOW factor for learners studying Construction and Land Based & Environmental Studies ensuring education reflects local business needs.
