As part of its STEMPOINT contract with STEMNET, NEBA continues to co-ordinate enhancement and enrichment learning activities in science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) in Nottinghamshire Schools. NEBA recruits STEM Ambassadors, people with a working knowledge and background in STEM subjects to support these activities and inspire young people.
Volunteering as a STEM Ambassador is your chance to promote your skills to learners, encourage them to enjoy STEM subjects and inform them about the unique career opportunties available.
Use your knowledge and expertise to:-
- help with classroom projects
- give talks on particular subject areas
- mentor learners
- bring an industrial perspective to STEM subjects
- support out of school activities such as clubs, challenges and competitions.
If you have a background in science, technology, engineering or maths and are interested in becoming a STEM Ambassador, or would like more information on the programme please email ambassadors@neba.org.uk
