About STEM
Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) skills are vital to
employers across the economy and in a variety of job roles.
Demand for these skills is expected to grow dramatically in
the future. STEM subjects are required at technician level,
which includes Apprenticeships, as well as on more academic
pathways.
It's important that young people are made aware of the opportunities
and skills provided studying STEM and that choosing STEM subjects
will more than likely widen options later in life rather than
narrowing them. Education Business Futures has a key role
in supporting schools to engage in STEM curriculum enrichment,
as well as careers awareness to encourage young people to
continue studying STEM subjects.
The EBF team aims to encourage and excite schools, teachers and young people about STEM-related learning and has a responsibility to provide all schools and can support you by:- Providing regular information on forthcoming STEM related schemes, programmes, competitions, activities and events
- Providing a range of Business Ambassadors to support school activities
- Responding to individual requests for STEM support
